It is the start of a new academic year! As it begins, please remember to start by managing your own internal barometer and the effect our words can have on the life a student. Try always to look for strengths first. In speaking at the Texas Behavioral Health Conference last month I shared how important it is to try to look for and understand the needs behind the bahavior of student. Some adults only know how to interact with a student's behavior. This is only addressing the frosting on the surface.  Don't look to interact with the behavior so much as we need to try to address the need. When we do that, we can then see different behaviors result.

We are currently developing a new web site for our organization and are excited that we can share the preview with you very soon. In the meantime, please look to follow us on Twitter @schoolclimates. Thank you!
